8 Months

With 8 months Laura is crawling and enjoyimg it. She can move around the house and plays on her own. Our eyes have to be everywhere. She can put herself on a sitting position from crawling position. When holding her hands she likes to walk. She has 4 teeth. The first 4 words in her dictionary are: "mämm", "emm-mee", "kaka" and "okkoouu".
She waves for hello and knows how to shake her head when I say no-no-no!
We have started the potty training, but it is not going very well. She rather enjoys the full attention that she gets from us when she is sitting on the potty. Laura's coordination is developing well. She has started to press buttons with one finger and grab thing between two fingers. Therefore, I thought I would give it a try and see if she would put small food in her mouth with her fingers. Everything turned out very messy, but no food went in her mouth. Instead all the food ended up on the floor around her chair. Eating solid foods is not her favourite thing at all. Laura gets solid foods three times a day. Everytime she is screaming and fighting against it.
Things that always catch Laura's attention are playing with water and a mirror. When she sees herself in the mirror she always smiles and waves to herself. Always happy to see herself!
After Christmas it was first time that Laura got sick. She had terrible caugh for 3 weeks and eye infection.
